Delphi, “The navel of the Earth”, was the seat of the most trustworthy oracle of the ancient Greek world, a very important crossroads, consulted by thousands of pilgrims throughout antiquity from all over the Greek world and beyond!
After a three-hour drive, where you admire the interesting landscape of mainland Greece and hear everything about stories and myths, related to the places that we see, we reach Delphi, perched on the southern slope of Mount Parnassus.
In the archaeological site of Delphi you will have the opportunity to visit important monuments like the “Tholos” at the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the Gymnasium, the “Treasury House” of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the Ancient Theatre and the Stadium.
At the nearby Museum you will admire masterpieces of ancient sculpture, like the famous “Charioteer” of Delphi.
After the guided tour you have the opportunity to enjoy a meal at the nearby, picturesque modern village of Delphi.
